Unlike the basic Junghans 667.20 movement, Junghans gave the chronometer-certified version (calibre number Junghans 667.26) a quartz, which had a frequency of 4 194 304 Hz and thus promised greater accuracy. Surprisingly, the movements are still marked "unadjusted" even though the watches underwent chronometer testing.
The watch was delivered in different models and had the following reference numbers:
Goldplaque reference number: 13/7000
Steel with steel band Reference number: 13/4900
Steel with leather strap reference number: 13/4880 or 013/4880.99
A watch with the chronometer movement Junghans 667.26 cost from 898,00 DM in 1978. This was DM 100.00 more than the average monthly salary of a worker during this period.
Only 2000 Junghans Quarz Chronometer were available, the serial number started with 5000 and the watch shown has the individual serial number 006002.
